Dr. Elad Tennen, Primary care Sports Medicine/non-operative sports medicine Specialist with experience in both musculoskeletal and non-musculoskeletal injuries in all athletes, from your weekend warrior to the professional level.
Dr. Tennen practices the conservative approach to injuries using non-surgical techniques to allow patients for proper rehabilitation from injury.
Dr. Tennen’s primary care training allows him to see non orthopedic/medical injuries in athletes ranging from concussion management/return to play, athletic fatigue and overtraining, exercise induced asthma, as well as management of athletes with chronic medical conditions.
Dr. Tennen’s training at Atlantic Sports Health, where he provided medical care and sideline coverage for the New York Jets (NFL), D1 college athletics at Seton Hall University, private hockey league Skyland Kings, as well as participation in mass athletic events including the rock-n-roll half marathon in San Jose California, and other state-wide events, provided him with experience to see athletes of all levels.
Dr. Tennen’s training included an ACGME accredited fellowship at Atlantic Sports Health in Morristown, New Jersey as well as a residency in Family Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset, in addition to an internal medicine internship at Elmhurst Hospital Center in affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Tennen, a new Jersey native who grew up in Marlboro New Jersey, enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, as well as training in many gyms as a bodybuilder. He has a special interest in athletic performance, sports physiology and the fitness industry.
