Peak Performance Sports & Occupational Rehabilitation,
with three convenient locations, assists the injured individual to achieve their personal goals. The friendly staff, with over 50 years of clinical experience, works closely with the orthopaedic surgeons and medical staff of Orthopaedic Institute Brielle Orthopaedics to design and implement a personalized program to meet each patient’s needs.
The unique relationship that the clinicians have with the physicians allows for greater discussion and more efficient and effective care for the patient. Whether it is an update of patient progress or a more emergent situation, our therapists have a continuous line of communication with the medical staff to address the needs of our patients.
The conscientious staff at Peak Performance Sports & Occupational Rehabilitation will work with you to verify your insurance coverage. While this does not erase the patient’s responsibility to understand their insurance coverage, our staff will work to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Furthermore, our staff will handle all claim submissions in a timely manner and are available through a toll-free number to answer any billing concerns you may have. We participate with Medicare, most major medical insurances, workers’ compensation insurance networks, and motor vehicle insurances.
Our Therapists
Leon Galante
Leon Galante was raised in West Palm Beach, FL and went to High School in Toms River, NJ. He received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Leon’s physical therapy training consists of neurological rehabilitation, sports/orthopedic care, and is a golf rehabilitation specialist. He enjoys working with several local area PGA Club Professionals and amateurs on fine tuning their golf fitness. Leon has worked with the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) since 2005 and served as the Medical Director for the AVP Belmar NJ Beach Volleyball Tournament in 2008 and 2010.
Leon joined the Peak Performance Sports and Occupational Therapy team in 2005. He currently is the Director of Rehabilitation for Peak Performance.
When not working, Leon enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and fishing.
Maria Schneider
Maria Schneider received her BA in English from Kean University. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY, where she received the Deans Award for clinical excellence.
Maria joined the Peak Performance team in April 2010 and brings 4 years of practicing experience with a background in outpatient orthopedics. In her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and watching football and hockey.
Heidi Williams
Heidi Williams is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. She received a B.S. for Health and Physical Education in 1989 from West Chester University, her certification for Massage Therapy in 1990 from Ocean Massage Institute, and her Associates Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 1994 from Union County College. Her future educational goals include certifications in aquatic therapy, and pilates mat training.
Heidi’s personal interests include travel and exercise. She has been with Peak Performance since 2005.
